Written for Paul Poet’s psychodramatic film Der Soldat Monika, the release centres on two contrasting tracks. The A-side, Trans, bears all the hallmarks of a post-punk classic: an anthem of empowerment and solidarity with the transgender community, calling for a more liberated approach to sexual identity.

The B-side, Monika in Scherben, ventures into what the band describe as a Gewalt-shoegaze concept, resulting in a six-minute piece that slowly tightens its emotional grip.
